Greetings to my beloved brothers and sisters:
I want to say
thank you for electing me to become the ABCD President.
It is an honor I cherish. The 50th
anniversary of ABCD is coming up soon in March 2009. The
officers and the Board of Trustees met on May 17th
in preparation for Mini-ABCD and the annual meeting of
ABCD for 2009.
The Mini-ABCD will
be held in Tuscaloosa at Taylorville Baptist Church in
Tuscaloosa. Our guest pastor will be Brother Jim Booth,
from Jackson, Mississippi. Our music/interpreter
workshop leader will be Brother Johnny Baker, from
Montgomery, Alabama. We are very excited to have them
lead our Mini-ABCD. Keep your eye out for more
information regarding the schedule and directions to
Taylorville Baptist Church.
Our annual
meeting, which is held at Shocco Springs, will be March
6th-8th, 2009. Our theme will be
“Forever Faithful”. The corresponding verses will be
Psalms 119:90 which states: “Your faithfulness
continues through all generations; you established the
earth, and it endures.” This is a perfect verse that
shows our faithfulness to ABCD for 50 years. More
information will be updated in the near future. Please
pray for our officers as we make preparations for the
meeting.
