President's Corner
|
January 21, 2012 Dear Brothers and Sisters
of the Alabama Baptist Conference of the Deaf, I am very excited that our
53rd annual conference is just right around the corner. Our
ABCD Executive Board have been meeting and preparing for this conference
and the future of the conference. We are excited about what God will have
in preparation for this conference. Brother Jim Dermon, from Texas, will
be our guest pastor for the weekend. We are still working on getting a
workshop leader and will announce it very soon on the website. Our theme
is “Helping Others”. We, as a
Christian, are supposed to help each other and lead others that do not
know Jesus Christ. I personally do not like the word “duty” because once
we accept Jesus Christ; we should love to help others whole heartily. Duty
means like a job. Helping others is not a job; it is because we do it from
our heart. I want to say THANK YOU
for your trust in me as I have served as President of ABCD for four years.
I know my time as the president is up after the weekend of March 2-4,
2012. I have enjoyed every minute of it. You, the members and ABCD
Executive Board, have taught me so much on how to become better person and
leader. I am very appreciative of each of you for your prayers for the
officers and ABCD. God is always good, at ALL the time! I pray that you will be
coming to ABCD and experience wonderful things that will occur during the
weekend in March. Remember Jesus LOVES you very much and so does ABCD! In Christ We Serve, Chadwick A. Fleming President of ABCD |
